need help connecting. is this happening to anyone else?
so, this morning i started up the game and it said i had a patch to download, so it only took maybe 10 minutes, and then opened wow. i tried to log in, (after changing my realmlist of course) and it said 'connecting' for maybe 20 minutes and then said 'disconnected from server.' my brother said maybe it was because the private servers haven't accommodated the new patch yet, but i check the realm stats and it says people are on and playing. is this happening to anyone else but me?

your brother is right, we don't have it set for 2.4.3 yet, downpatch to 2.4.2 if you want to play for now

also, next time retail has a patch check here before downloading it or atleast make a copy of your wow folder so you can play on the private servers if you wish to play on retail at the same time

how do i downgrade? redownload everything?

and maybe it's just my computer, but everytime a new patch comes out, it forces me to download it until i can play again.

the repair application is in your wow folder...

i don't have a wow folder. it's just not there. i have a bunch of random patches around everywhere but no folder.

umm....how can you play wow w/ no wow folder?

as a uni student majoring in game programming computer science i do NOT see how that is possible....

i have the actual game, and a bunch of patches, and a burning crusade folder but thats it. ive searched, too but nothing comes up
