Connection Issues

Before you think it (if you haven't already), yes. I have read the other threads. Practically all of them. I spent an hour combing this part of the forum and a few other parts, reading every single thread even remotely similar to my issue. I've followed the advice contained in at least three separate threads, to no avail.

My issue is this: I simply stop at "Connecting". It stops there, for anywhere between five to twenty minutes before saying "Unable to connect." I have told my firewall to allow all forms of connection and communication to all possible places in at least four different ways. It's not the firewall. I've cleared my cache completely at least twice. I've check my realmlist.wtf upwards of six times, and there are no flaws in the text. I have run repair. I've restarted the client and the computer. Nothin'.

And, to make it all the more fantastic, it's not just WaMMO that has this issue.

Now. Besides basic help, I only have one other question: I'm running 2.4.2 (8278). Is 2.4.3 mandatory? Is this the issue? In none of the threads that I have read (close to two or three dozen) does anyone address that particular issue.

I have the same problem. I have 2.4.3 and nothing seems to be happening.

we only support 2.4.3 so you need to update to that to play here...

if you are still having trouble connecting after you update, make sure your realmlist is correct and that you have cleared cache and you should be fine

Ah, thanks. I wanted to make sure before doing that. Downgrading is a real hassle, after all. I'll try that now, and clear the cache once again, as well as update the realmlist.

I hope you dont use Launcher to log in game. Cant think something else why it doesnt work.
Maybe you must make repair your WoW. After repair, change your realmlist again, delete the cache folder and try to log in game via WoW.exe. I hope this will help

as long as you have made a game account and your realmlist is changed you should be fine - on a side note, you need admin rights to save the realmlist if you are using vista.

Every time i repair it it says my game is seriously damaged and has to revert back to 2.0.0 then i have to patch back up to play. Nothing works. This sucks

aw in that case, if your game is that damaged, that means that you corrupted some files
you need to downpatch and de-patch to 2.4.3 again.

When you'll downpatch succesfully you can depatch normally just opening your game via Launcher, and the game will start to update by itself. When your updating will end, all you have to do is to change your realmlist again to SET REALMLIST WARCRAFTMMO.COM, delete your cache and log in game via WoW.exe
