Well what I was thinking, I wanna know what you got the idea of your name from for your world of warcraft character, was it family, friends, a pet, or just a cool name you thought of, I wanna know!

My names in game have nothing to do with anyone. The only thing about my names is all most all of them are 6 letters long. Vellea, Calara, Darine, Elanna, Thuata, Aellev, Morina, Jastia, Elinde, Lumine, Edirre, Paraiz

My current name is a a variation of Ash, Ash-->Shain-->Shainy. (comes from Ashes) nothing to do with the game.

all my toon names come from playing retail, not really named that way for any reason other than it was the first thing i thought of

Mine tend to be named after a god or goddess as can be seen by the signature.

Mine all have the word neck in them.

When I was setting up my first character I noted he had a bit of a fat neck on him so I called him Fatneck. So now everyone thought I had a fat neck in real life so I tried to balance this by calling my next character Thinneck. I used Dirtyneck for my rogue because he's a dirty boy and Bottleneck because I couldn't think of anything else.

Mine are all named after people in my family; Alexander (MaternalGF), Nicholas (me), Sydney (Wife), Alexis (Daughter), Vincent (PaternalGF). Then my staff toon, Paracelsus, is named after an alchemist (me bing a chemist, I thought it was appropiate). Kinda how I diffreniate my personal (family) from profesional (work).

My names Ehlana, Khalad, Itagne comes from a David Eddings book, I also named my warrior Guernica cause I love that painting!
