Haste Stacking

Issue that's been coming up lately: Haste Stacking.

Basically it works like this: You stack up enough haste gear so that you can get an attack speed that's very low. If you get lucky, and you have a lot of haste trinkets on, and all your haste procs at the same time, and then you drink a haste potion, your attack speed goes just slightly above zero, I think around .06 attack speed, something like that.

This allows for each attack to have multiple hits, each as an individual attack.

This was covered on several posts all over the internet, here's a thread on the WoW forums about it.

This would be okay, except that now, rogues are abusing the fact that Dragonspine Trophy procs every single hit, and are using it in PvP.

IMHO this should at least be banned in PvP. It's completely unfair against other classes, and isn't survivable even by prot paladins who have a huge amount of block: Ask Virginmary about a Haste Stacking rogue with the screenname Cheater. Here are a few screenshots:

Now here's why these two are important: Although they don't show him in combat, myself, Duka, and Virginmary can all attest to the fact that he was dual wielding either two Blinkstrikes, or two Warglaives in combat at any given time. At one point he talked about switching weapons to proc his haste, and switching back to Blinkstrike.

However, later that night, GM Oz got online, and immediately he began claiming he was not using two of either weapon at any given time. What importance this has, I have no idea, but then again, I have no idea how he turned Duka invincible:



FYI, Duka and Dend are the same person, different Toons. I just call him Duka because that's how I know him, etc.

I wish I had taken a few more screenshots, especially of the damage he was doing, but I'm sure you guys have that on the Database. Basically the guy was filling up my entire combat log in a single second attacking Virginmary. The only reason he survived for so long was because he had such high Block rating from being a Prot Paladin, and with his Holy Shield up and Redoubt up as well, it made him virtually invincible for a while. The attacks were coming so fast in fact, it was lagging our entire party horribly.

A few other names that have done this: Grixgore, Naisha, and Sammyo. Ask about them on Netherstorm, they're well known for their haste stacking in the Gurubashi.

This is NOT like Fire Rogues or Arcane Hunters. They are beatable. The most you can do against this is block, and even with 100% buffed block as Virginmary had, he STILL died.

I think this should be at the very least banned from PvP because of abuse of the Dragonspine Trophy's proc, and besides that, because this is UNBEATABLE.

I'll be honest, I think stacking haste is fair.

Why you ask? Well, if you're melee, stack dodge. Ranged? Slow them down. Imo, it's a tactic. If everyone's gonna blow a gasket, then change it, but tbh buddy, people have been doing this since the server was born.

Also - how the hell are they supposed to ban stacking haste?

It's not that hard "buddy". You can't stack dodge. It doesn't work. You can't dodge all of the attacks, and when there's literally hundreds of attacks coming at you every second, you CAN'T win. It's not like a fire rogue, where the damage is survivable especially with fire resistance gear, or an arcane hunter, where you can stack arcane resistance.

You can't stack enough block or dodge to outlast their attacks. Like I said in the first post, ask Virginmary. Even if she could last for a LONG time, eventually a stun would hit and the damage would get in. Even it if was for a second, it would be like, 100 hits.

You can ban it from PvP by banning people who are caught using it and reported with various screenshots.

And if you're ranged, you don't have a chance. You don't have block OR dodge, and the rogues come out of stealth. Good luck kiting after you get hit 100 times.

Starting a pissing match doesn't help your cause. I offered some valid points, to which you responded with a reiteration of your original post. Bravo.

And it's not that easy, you can't just ban everyone because they're using a certain stat. Hey, if people want to go ahead and waste time getting pots for this, more power to 'em.

This is not a haste stacking issue its a weapon called Blinkstrike... People make a macro to switch two of them between mainhand and offhand slots and the proc(chance to gain an extra hit on next attack) stacks and they get a massive amount of attacks off in 1 hit. This is an issue on alot of private servers and needs to be fixed asap. Every single night lately i have had to deal with these people using it and ruining my time on this server. This works with any proc so taking out the weapon is not going to fix anything at all.

As you can see the nightelf in the pictures is using 2 Blinkstrikes as i mentioned!
Also just to add that after the weapons procs are stacked you can equip other weapons other then the ones with the procs and they will still proc... So if they say they dont have blinkstrikes WELL THEY PROBLY DONT cause they probly sold them after stacking to avoid getting in trouble!

Dragonspine trophy has allways been that way.
Think about this: You might complain about mellee peopel having that. However, I see NO complains from you about Darkmoon Card: Heroism.
It heals on every hit.

Allso, there might be trinkets bugged for mages or spell casters too, making them haste.
Mages with haste gear. Did you never see that on Netherstorm? Casting Pyroblast in 1 sec? Same thing. Do not complain.

Allso, Cheater is indeed wearing Blinkstrikes. The two weapons that the Nearly-Nude Night Elf female is wearing, are Blinkstrikes. Stacking Blinkstrike effects are allso ILLEGAL.

why is blinkstrike even on the vendors when it is known that people stack the proc on them? just a suggestion but i think it would be better if they just took them off of the vendor then we wouldn't have people useing that bug anymore..no way for them to and it would elimate the entire problem all together :D

i got someone to actually admit to blinkstrike stacking
