Eraxian's Rogue Guide.

The Rogue.

Rogues are armored melee classes that are capable of dealing immense amount of damage to their enemies, with the use of poisons, and duel wielding weapons that deal a large amount of damage; such as daggers. Rogues are capable of using Leather; and therefore are safe from harm against most classes, aswell as dealing damage that is capable of killing, almost every class in the game.They have access to a wide range of special abilities, which depend on their constantly refilling pool of energy. Unlike other classes, such as the Hunter who has the ability to deal physical damage from a distance, Rogues must be in close. This often subjects them to tank-like damage reception due to their dangerous threat level if left alone.

Starting playing your first Rogue...

When you enter the World of Warcraft; and you log on to the best server in the world, (WaMMO) you will enter a mall, of which of course, has vendors left right and center - from this, you need to choose your gear, weapons and enchants that will help you progress in PvP and or PvE, whatever the choice, that is up to you.

What gear should I get; Season 4 or Tier 6?

As both gear is excellent; it is your choice which one to choose though, I suggest you choose daggers, on a private server, the reason for this, is because daggers require good gear, and on a private server, you are almost guarenteed that. For Player Vs. Player, I suggest you go for stamina, and resilience, this can be found in season 4, where as, for PvE; the opposite of this, tier 6, you will need melee attack power and critical hit chance.

Helpful Tips:

Okay, so theres alot to have in your inventory when playing a Rogue, which is understandable, but there is, definitely one item I would 100% suggest getting; this item is: Renataki"s Charm of Trickery This increases your energy by 20; for example, you could Ambush your target, (dagger rogues) then backstab, then you're out of energy, therefore you could use this, it adds more energy, and therefore backstab is available again.

Counter-class

As every class has a counter class; a Rogue is nearly every classes nightmare, with all of the stunlocks, but there can be the exception, Paladins, and possibly Warriors are a Rogues nightmare, bleed effects, stun immunity, bleed damage, stuns means un-skilled Rogues, will, loose against these classes but this is depending on your gear at hand, and if you have the Reddogs' Soap on a Roap, or the Medallion of the Horde, you may have a slight chance, but as Cloak of Shadows does not work against bleed effects, you may be a little stuck.

Possible ways to win, in PvP:

Warriors = You may have to use your 'skeel' here, and use your imagination, and all of your cool-downs to win, stun-locking is not what to do, although you may not be able to Ambush a Warrior, stun-locking will not work with the required speccs, also beware of second wind of which whenever the warrior is struck by a Stun or Immobilize effect they will generate X rage and Y% of his total health over 10 sec, and if the warrior has this, you may, loose depending if they specced this far, with a large amount of armor aswell, these are the class to beat.

Paladins = Once again, you may have to attempt to stun-lock to hell, and try to 'nuke' the class down, the reason for this, is simply because Paladins have Immunity to the majority of the things in the game, the only way to win, is really to make them 'bubble' early.

Mages = Mages should be rather easy, especially in donor gear, 1 Ambush 10k crit = win, and possibly if more health is needed, throw in a backstab and you've defeated another class.

Warlocks = Warlocks are relatively easy, depending on the way they gem and gear, it's basically, the same as a Mage, except an extra 5k health, therefore you will need a bit more damage behind you.

Hunters = Hunters, here's a rather, tricky class to beat, the reason for this is because they have a large amount of armor, from 'mail' and they can spam Hunters Mark so you may not stealth without them seeing you. Therefore, you will have to stun-lock.

Rogues = You will need to use bleed effects on these classes; as they can, be wimps and run off, stealth, apart from that, they are reasonably easy to beat, depending on the amount of resilience.

Shamans = Shamans are virtually the same as Hunters armor wise, and they can heal, so you will need to stun-lock these to win.

Druids = Druids are rather easy, but they can be hard depending on the speccs they have, you could, one-shot them, and they could heal, it's really 50%-50% on these, as you both have attack power and armor, therefore you will need to use your poisons; eg: Mind Numbing, to slow healing effects.

Basically, to win in the majority of Player vs. Player, you will need to stun the opponent in the appropriate way, e.g: kidney shot, cheap shot, so you can deal damage at the same time as the other player being stunned.

What should I do about Talents?

For talents, which is an important thing about Rogues, it can be the key thing that helps you in the thing you love the most, I suggest you choose the 'Sublety' specc, with combat, for the extra points over, for Player vs. Player, and in PvE, I suggest you go full Combat specc, because the damage is immense. Shadowstep is absolutely fantastic in PvP; this is why you choose Sublety for PvP, and the increase in agility and attack power, is great, considering the season 4, has a decrease in attack power, in exchange for stamina, and tier 6, is the opposite, also these talents will depend on the gear you have, and you need good gear for certain speccs.

This saps automatically; you don't have to target anybody, just spam that on your action bar

Enchants, Gems, what do I do?

For enchants, I strongly suggest you go out for Agility and Attack Power, this will increase your damage dealt on opponents, this will count in PvP and PvE, and for gems, I suggest you go out for full, agility in every slot, although this will loose a certain amount of attack power, using all agility, it will help your critical strike rating by alot, increasing the chance to crit your target, therefore giving you more of a chance to hit the target with a higher Ambush or Hemorrhage, also as this is a private server, your META gems will work, without the required gems, therefore the bonus is there, regardless.

As this is a private server, should I get the donation set, for a Rogue, will I benefit?

Yes, definitely, the donation set for a Rogue is absolutely fantastic, the maximum attack power, dodge and crit I have had, is around 4,610, 95% and 62%, with all agility gemmed, and for the $60, it is worth it, for the amount it really does help you pawn people even harder than you would without it anyway.

Good guide, not great. But since I won't write one myself, I'll criticize you.
First-You can hold more potential for victory via not just using 1 gem. For example, you might lose some 200 AP but you can get 1.5X Higher Crit rating, Quicker attacks, I got 11.57% parry rating ( 4 gems ) Just for Riposte, and now I use Riposte very often and it wreacks havoc on enemies.

In all honestly, no links for talents or builds, or things like that, it's NOT a great guide. Decent at most, I'd even go as far as call it crummy. No offense.
