Alright I will help you out and maybe someone can sticky this somewhere, or split it into another topic and sticky that for any future people who do not know.

Alright, to start off, you want a website to download the addons you want. The ones I recommend, and I'm sure others would agree, are the following:
World of Warcraft Addons | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com or WoWInterface

Important Note: Make sure that any addons you download are updated to 2.3.0 compatability. It will say on WoW.curse.com what version it is compatable with in highlighted text. If you are using out of date addons, it might screw with some things in the game. Some addons, such as MapCoords, work perfectly with 2.3.0 although it has not been updated to 2.2.3. That is fine - it doesnt require any UI interface - its just two numbers on your map following your cursor.

The addons I recommend downloading are:
Atlasloot Enhanced | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com Atlasloot Enhanced. This addon gives you all the loot possibilities for all bosses in any raid or 5 man instance. It also has the rewards for PvP and differing sets, as well as legendarys.

AlphaMap (Fan's Update) | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com Alphamap. This addon gives you the map in a smaller version (so it doesnt lag loading the whole map, and you can still move and everything). This addon also features the infamous Co-ordinates. This addon also features maps for all the different instances/raids, but you do not appear on the map, but its not to hard to guess where you are from the Mini-map in the top right of your screen.

If you dont want to use the Alphamap coords, and you would prefer the coords to just be on your regular map, you can download that here: MapCoords (Updated) | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com

WHDB | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com WHDB. This is the best add on for levelling or questing for cash at max level. This addon gives you all the coords and info about any quest, right in the quest log. This addon will greatly improve your levelling time. This addon goes great with Extended QuestLog (Genjutsu) | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com Extended Quest Log, although it does have a couple bugs from time to time with NPCs.

DamageMeters | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com Damage Meters. This gives you the total DPS of all members of your raid/group and also allows you to report it to anyone you want to, wether it be your party, raid, guild or just someone you are whispering.

The following addons are great for raids and are required for most raids on retail, and should be here too, but I dont see anyone actually downloading them

Omen Threat Meter | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com Omen threat meter. If you want to raid, you MUST have this addon, or KLHThreatMeter | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com KTM, but I personally prefer Omen.

GroupCalendar | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com Group Calendar. I love this addon as a guild raid manager. Some guilds use GuildEventManager | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com Guild Event Manager. Youll have to use the same one that your guild is using.

Deadly Boss Mods | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com Deadly Boss Mods. This is absolutely useless at this point, because the bosses on Private servers dont work, they are all just tank & spank with no special abilities. But I thought I would post this in case anyone here has a retail char they raid with. This addon tells you what the boss does, and announces it to you when its about to do one of its special moves.

There is another addon, called Ace Wardrobe something, that I cannot find a link to that saves alot of time for warriors/pallidans/druids/anyone with multiple gear sets. It allows you to save a what you are wearing as a "wardrobe", and you can have many wardrobes, and all you have to do is click on a button and it will change all of your gear to the new set. This is great for people who have, lets say, a PvP set of gear, a Raiding set of gear (they are different people, dont give me this S2 is equivalant to T5 crap) or a tank who also has DPS gear to PvE quest with, or vice versa, a DPS warrior with tank gear.

A HIGHLY recommended addon raid interface for healers is X-Perl. As my priest on retail only ever got to level 25, I have never used this, but all of the healers in my guild use it.

Now for installing the addons

First step is to go to download.com and install WinZip. You dont have to pay for it, you can use the Evaluation trial (which never really expires). Go through the setup, and make sure you select to use the wizard. When setup is done, just close winzip.

Next step is to download the addons. When prompted, select "open", not "save". When WinZip pops up, select "Use Evalation Version" if it pops up. You should see a whole bunch of files in the winzip window. Dont panic, you dont have to worry about them. Then go to the "Extract" button at the top of the program. In the text box, make sure it says "c:/Program Files/World Of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns/" or replace /Program Files/World Of Warcraft/ if you have an alternate location that you installed World Of Warcraft. When you have that selected click OK and it should be done. You should see a little extracting bar, but it should go by fast.

Next is loading the addons. When you have all the addons extracted to your addons folder, close everything that you do not need and open wow. Note: If you had wow open while doing this, you will need to close wow and open it again. When WoW opens, on the Character Select screen, click the little button in the bottom left that says "AddOns". Make sure all the addons you want loaded are selected.

If you have any questions further please feel free to PM me. I will answer any questions to the best of my abilities.
